As Adrian padded back into town the night after the beach party, he had a vague hope that this time, he'd manage to make it into the shop before someone caught him shifting back to human and he ended up bare-ass naked in front of yet another Siren Cove resident.

At this point, he thought, he might as well just strip down and run through the center of town, get seen by everyone at once and save himself the worry.

He'd tried last night to cut the naked probability down by stripping and shifting at the edge of the forest, leaving his clothes there but when he'd checked the spot just now, his clothes had been gone. Kids pranking, someone liked the look of his jeans, whatever.

It was done and he stood at the door to his shop, took a look over his shoulder, and shifted back to human.

Open to anyone, but mainly for Kat and Anna. Find Adrian shifting, or just stop by the shop later in the day and say hi.

Now there's an even better view, Adrian thought when the brief flash had his blood heating up again. He positioned his hands on either side of her and leaned down to meet her lips. "Read, usually. Listen to music, sketch designs, mostly pretend the rest of the world doesn't exist," he laughed, nuzzling her cheek with his nose. "I don't think the structure would take a pool, but it might handle a hot tub. I'd never thought of that, but it could be fun. Especially when it snows."

His hands slid very low on her hips, then down over her ass, gave it a small squeeze.

Arching her back as he leaned down, she reached out to steady herself as she fell into his arms. She liked the way he described what he did, it was the same as what she tended to do for the most part and she liked the idea of maybe sitting out here with him one day. It was dumb but it was a nice idea.

"That does sound nice, it sounds p-peaceful." And Anna always needed plenty of that. "You should g-get one then- Adrian!"

Anna let out a squeak of surprise as his hands pressed against her ass and squeezed. Blushing, she pressed her head against his cheek. He'd probably figure it out now that she wasn't wearing anything beneath the dress.

"I think I'm going to look into that tomorrow," Adrian grinned. "Maybe if I have water here, I'll tempt a certain siren to come over more often and I can't think of a better motivation to renovate the roof." He'd already looked at the narrow sofa and imagined getting a newer, bigger one, thinking about chilly evenings with a fire in the pit and Anna reclined back against him. Then he told himself to get a grip on himself.

Then she squeaked at him and he squeezed her ass again. "Did you see a mouse, darlin?"

Anna blushed at his words. She didn't want him to go to any trouble for her but it would be a nice addition. Somewhere you could get warm when the weather turned, Anna was used to swimming in the cold coastal waters and her body adapted as the weather changed but she did prefer the warmth of summer or heated pools.

"Adrian," Anna sighed, pressing back against his hands as he squeezed her ass. "Y-you were showing me around. And I l-like mice, I like animals. It's just... p-people. People are scary. You're not."

Already thinking of who he needed to call while absently stroking her ass, her last comment pulled him back to the here and now. "Why are people scary, Anna? I mean, I'm glad I don't scare you, but I'm curious about why others would."

Anna reached up to tug on her hair, brushing it behind her ear.

"My mom m-made me do a lot of pageants," Anna confessed. She wasn't a pageant girl, she didn't have the spirit or nature to take criticism or competition. She was shy and the other girls and worse their moms had eaten her up. "People can be... Cruel."

Based on what he's seen of Anna in public environments - even something as innocuous as getting coffee from Quill - he can imagine about how well that went. His hands came up to cup her face, thumbs over the apples of her cheeks.

"Yes, they can be." He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "I won't be. And any time you need to get away from them, you can come up here."

The kiss to her forehead was nice, it made her feel precious and safe. Loved. Which was stupid. But it was nice, it was a nice gesture and she leaned up to brush a kiss against his lips in return. A kiss there was easier to deal with than the way his hands on her bare ass made her feel.

"I'd- I'd like that. Especially if there was... water. Although the b-bathroom looked nice," Anna replied, blushing as she pressed a chaste kiss against his throat.

Adrian growled again when her lips touched his throat, a sound that was a lot like the purr he'd made as a panther. His neck had always been a very sensitive spot and coupled with Anna's lips there and her ass in his hands, he couldn't stop his reactions stirring again.

"I was going to give you a tour of the rest of the apartment, wasn't I?"

She flushed as Adrian growled at the way she kissed his throat, smiling shyly she dropped back down before sliding out of his arms. Biting her lip she pressed a quick kiss to his throat teasingly before making a beeline for the door before he could see how red she was.

Adrian gave her a moment to escape before making his way leisurely after her, smiling to himself at the flush he'd seen to her cheeks before she could turn completely away.

"Anna?" he called out once he was back in the apartment itself. He thought he had an idea of where she might be, but he wanted her to know he was close.

Anna hadn't mean to run or turn this into a game of hide or seek but apparently she had. Hesitating at his bedroom door, she went to go inside before shaking her head. It was his voice calling out to her that startled her into his bedroom before she ducked behind the door. Hiding out of view, she'd wait until he came in and then slip out behind him. That was the plan at least.

Adrian walked slowly to his bedroom, knowing that's where she was since his loft was open except for the guest bath and that room, and crossed the threshold cautiously. He checked the bed first and wasn't sure if he felt relief or disappointment that she wasn't lying there.

"Anna?" he called again, thinking she might be in the bathroom and heading there.

Anna held her breath as he walked through the door, taking a step closer she leaned up to almost brush her lips against his ear before she changed her mind and disappeared out the door. Her hair brushing against him, she slipped out of the room ahead of him and dashed towards the bathroom. Turning the water on in the shower, Anna hid behind the door again and hoped the water might distract him enough to look there properly so she could slip out again.

Adrian turned at the brush of something against his arm, but when he turned there was no one behind him. He whipped around when he heard the water running in the bathroom and headed there, pulling the curtain back with a grin that slipped off his face when he found nothing but an empty stall. Turning the water off, he thought he saw something out of the corner of his eye, but when he looked there was no one there.

"What are you up to, darlin girl?"

She smiled at the look on his face that she caught in the mirror, how honestly pleased he was and the way he looked for her. Smiling as she slipped back through the door, she bit her lip hesitating as she looked at the hem of her dress. Taking a breath, she pulled it off in one go before throwing it towards the kitchen where it landed on one of the counters perfectly.

Almost tripping over her own feet, she skidded through the door to his bedroom. Peeking behind the door, she waited until he saw her dress before looking at the bed. This had seemed like a good idea, this had seemed like a good idea and now, there was the bed.

Taking a deep nervous breath, Anna heard footsteps before she scrambled into the bed and pulled the covers up over her. She- she couldn't turn back now, she was in his bed and oh god, she knew her cheeks were scarlet but maybe she could sneak out unnotic- she could hear him even if she couldn't seen him. And she was barely noticeable in the mess of duvet and sheets, all except for her foot just poking out ever so slightly.

Adrian followed the trail of bread crumbs, such as it was, to the kitchen and felt a fist in his gut when he found her dress. Remembering the flash of her ass up on his roof, he knew there had been nothing beneath that dress but soft, sweet skin and now, wherever she was, that's all that waited for him.

With another look around, and no sign of her, he headed back to his bedroom and his breath caught when he saw her foot sticking out from his unmade bed.

He sat down on the edge with a soft sigh that he made sound disappointed. "I wonder if she just grabbed one of my coats and took off."

The words still lingered in the air as he reached over and traced a single finger along the arch of her instep.

Anna covered her face when she felt the bed shift beneath his weight, pressing her lips together she tried to not make a noise as he talked to himself. He sounded... disappointed, sad. Biting her bottom lip, she opened her mouth to say something when she felt his fingertip brush along the sole of her foot. Letting out a squeak of noise, she wiggled her foot until it was almost beneath all the blankets.

"What's this? That mouse is back again and hiding in my bed," Adrian chuckled and raised the duvet just enough to uncover her foot and calf, drawing his fingers along her foot again, then tracing around her ankle as well.

"Doesn't look like a mouse, though," he commented, leaning back to raise the duvet higher and trace the back of her knee.

Anna peeked over the tips of her fingers, peering down as light was revealed and she half-spied Adrian revealing her foot and calf. Toes curling as he traced his fingers along her foot, her foot jerked a little in reacting at the light touch. Biting her lip, she took in a breath and forced herself to breathe, relax as he slowly lifted the duvet a little higher to reveal more of her exposed skin.

Legs slightly parted, she let out a little shiver at the touch of his hand to the back of her knee. A startled gasp of his name made her cover her mouth with her hands to try and stifle herself.

Slowly, very slowly, Adrian shifted higher up the mattress until he was close to the headboard and reached over to tug the top edge down just far enough to reveal her scarlet face.

"Well, well. What have we here? Doesn't look like a mouse to me."

Anna shifted in the bed, feeling his weight press down into the mattress as she felt him move above her. Feeling the rush of cooler air, she blinked up as he tugged down the sheets and duvet to reveal her face. Blushing, she shook her head at his question. Arms hidden beneath the blankets she couldn't lift her hands up to touch him or bring him down to kiss him.

"N-no, not a mouse." Anna replied, wetting her dry lips and leaning back in his bed. Her hair spreading out beneath her.

Adrian knew, knew very well, that the sight before him was one he wasn't going to forget any time soon and that sleep wouldn't come easily to him tonight with both the image and the smell of her scent on his sheets and pillow. He both dreaded and anticipated it.

"No indeed. Just a little siren stowaway hiding under the covers. What should I do about that?"

His fingers were still down near her knee, tracing lazy circles against the back of it.

Anna squirmed against the touch to the back of her knee, she knew she was blushing as his fingers traced circles there. Pulling her knee up a little, she shivered at the feel of air between her legs and the draft pulling up through the blankets.

At his question, Anna pressed her tongue against her top lip and took little breaths in before she could finally reply. "S-something?"

"Something, huh?" Adrian whispered, watching the pink tip of her tongue as it moved against her lips. "I think I could come up with a something or two."

He lowered his head then and took her soft lips in a long, slow kiss.
